We're getting set to increase the debt ceiling again. Over 16 TRILLION. Politics as usual. Fiscal responsibility - nah, that can't work. Living within our means? That's only expected of hard working, tax paying Americans. Don't be fooled. This is partly about buying allegience & elections. It's also part of a work in progress - the purposeful, systematic dismantling of a great nation, bringing it to her knees, making her weaker, while freedom & individualism become obsolete. And this work is being expedited, with the help of a hardcore socialist craving media, to create enough havoc & damage ahead of the 2012 elections that the results of our votes will border on meaningless. Severe defense cuts loom while entitlement programs expand. Appointments are being made illegally. The Constitution is being run through a shredder. As Senator Rubio states in his letter (below) we are becoming a deadbeat nation.
Obama has not served the will of the people. He is not a leader &, based on his actions & inaction, this country of ours is headed in exactly the direction that he & his socialist cronies mapped out & cowardly elected officials - FROM BOTH PARTIES - stand by & watch.
We need leaders with courage, integrity & stamina. We need leaders that love this nation & put the interests of this country ahead of ego, personal gain & cronyism. We need more Marco Rubios.

A Forgotten Hero
Part of this was included in an email sent to me by a friend.
You're a 19 year old kid. critically wounded & dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley. It's 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray , Vietnam . Your unit is outnumbered 8 to 1 & the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.
You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out.
Your family is half-way around the world, 12,000 miles away and you'll never see them again.
As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this will be your last day on earth.
Then, over the machine gun noise, you hear that sound of a helicopter.
You look up to see an unarmed Huey. It doesn't seem real because there are no Medi-Vac markings.
Ed Freeman is coming for you...
He's not Medi-Vac so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the Medi-Vacs were ordered to stay out of range.
He's coming anyway.
And he drops it in and sits there through the machine gunfire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board..
He flies you up and out through the gunfire to a waiting medical team.
And, he returns ... 13 more times.
He rescued you and 30 of your buddies who otherwise, would never have survived.
Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died last Wednesday at the age of 80, in Boise , ID
May God Rest His Soul.
You probably didn't hear about this hero's passing. We were bombarded this past week with all the "news" about Tiger Woods. Before that it was Michael Jackson day and night for weeks on end. Through it all, the press curiously praises Washington's indiscriminate spending, & the pending healthcare bill designed to control the citizens & bankrupt the USA. They will tout the gathering of politicians & environmental "experts" in Copenhagen, with great vigor and offer wondrous platitudes, even though the intended outcome of this meeting is really all about the end of capitalism & freedom as we know it. The media will also do their part to help stifle debate concerning the hoax that is climate change while failing to report the so-called carbon footprint being created by the collection (travel) of these representatives.
Acknowledging patriots? Their service? Heroism. Not likely. Today's media would never allocate the airtime or print space to cover the passing of a real hero like Ed. Instead, better to use the space to negatively spin the story of the Navy Seals accused of roughing up the terrorist that butchered 4 Americans. In this media's world, the Seals are guilty. Period. For today's politically correct military, it's an opportunity to show the world the new, "compassionate" USA. What it really shows is weakness.
Many potential heroes, this generation's version of Ed Freeman, will now hold back, reluctant to take risks or make decisions, because, in this political climate, chances are they'll be villified & prosecuted, despite the positive results of their heroism. They're no longer fighting against only terrorists, they are battling to survive attacks from within their own ranks, & the media, the political puppets of the day, is simply a branch of a new enemy force.
Medal of Honor recipients are rare. Men like Ed Freeman, rarer still. And the media will make sure to under-report the continued valor of our brave men & women fighting to preserve freedom.
Medal of Honor Winner

9/11 CONTINUED???
The New York Five: Read the Unclassified Government Files on the Terrorists the White House Plans to Import into America
ORIGINALLY Posted by Kevin Boland on November 13th, 2009
The Obama Administration has announced it will bring Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four of his 9/11 co-conspirators – all terrorists currently imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay — to trial in civilian courts in New York City. To read the unclassified files on these terrorists from the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Department of Defense (DOD).
Also see this from Bill Kristol this morning, relaying the reaction of the sister of 9/11 victim Charles Burlingame, the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77:
"Today Attorney General Eric Holder will announce that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and several of his fellow 9/11 co-conspirators will be brought to New York City and tried in federal court. No doubt the Attorney General will invoke the phrase, ‘Swift and certain justice.’ This is a sham. There will be nothing swift and nothing certain about it.
"The trial will be a travesty. The prosecutors at the Southern and Eastern Districts fought over these career-making cases like vultures at a kill. But who will be the vulture? In open court, it will be Khalid Shiek Mohammed who will hold forth, mocking his victims, exulting in the suffering of their families, ridiculing the judge, his lawyers and the American justice system, and worst of all, rallying his jihadi brothers to kill more Americans as the men and women of the US military risk their lives in the mountains of Afghanistan and the sands of Iraq. All, just blocks from where 20,000 body parts were dug out of the rubble of the Twin Towers.
"Remember KSM’s famous opening line when he was grabbed in Rawalpindi? ‘I’ll talk to you guys after I get to New York and see my lawyer.’ Thanks to the Obama admnistration, it looks like he’ll get his wish. And he’ll do his best-with the help of this top-drawer lawyers and much of the media-to make the real defendants at the trial the CIA interrogators-and the American government.
"How will this help achieve what our president claims he wants to achieve-‘restoring respect for America’? Is that what he really wants?"
In a statement this morning, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) called the Administration’s actions “irresponsible” and commented:
"These men are part of a global terrorist network dedicated to attacking America and civilization itself, and on that awful day nine years ago, they succeeded in killing nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children. These terrorists were already being tried by military commissions, which were specifically designed to prosecute such heinous acts. This decision is further evidence that the White House is reverting to a dangerous pre-9/11 mentality - treating terrorism as a law enforcement issue and hoping for the best. We need a real strategy for fighting and winning the war on America’s terrorist enemies that includes an effective, credible, and consistent plan for all terrorist detainees."
Nothing is more important than protecting the American people. That’s why earlier this year, House Republicans introduced H.R. 2294, the Keep Terrorists Out of America Act, which would stop the transfer or release of terrorists held at the Guantanamo Bay prison into the United States. The legislation unequivocally opposes releasing terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay facility and transferring them to the United States, makes clear that governors and state legislatures must pre-approve the transfer or release of any terrorist detainee into their respective states, and requires the Administration to meet strict criteria and certification standards before terrorists housed at the Guantanamo prison could be brought to the United States.
With the Administration’s irresponsible actions today, the Keep Terrorists Out of America Act is more necessary than ever.
If this doesn't infuriate you - check your pulse. The MEDIA is already listing the technicalities that will allow these murderers to escape justice. While this travesty moves forward, real Americans are gradually losing freedoms paid for with the blood of true patriots. Wake up. Get involved. Make your voice heard.

Why Should I Care?
Had a FaceBook conversation the other day with a 30something year old who had grown up with my kids. I'd posted something about how irate I was that China was flying their flag on White House property to commemorate the annversary of communism. His comment / reply was that there were more important concerns in life, like career, paying bills, the environment, etc, to worry about, rather than what "banner" was flying in DC. Needless to say, it took some effort to offer a controlled reply, particularly when taking into account the fact that China's backing in Korea & Viet Nam helped the enemy kill 100,000 US soldiers.
Here's the thing - If certain programs are passed, we're all going to lose by way of increased costs, taxes, regulation and, eventually our freedom. Social Security & Medicare are on the verge of bankruptcy, both programs instituted & poorly managed by the Government, which, for me personally, means that all that I've put into the system over many years will have been wasted. Now there's talk of folding 401k's into SS. Another potential grab & rule change.
So the younger generation is worried that "Global Warming" & "Carbon Footprints" (both based on junk science in my opinion) will somehow bring about the end in the not so distant future. My reaction? Since these uninformed younger voters are so apathetic toward issues that affect those of us who have worked hard & contributed so heavily over the years, why should people like me care about the next generation's quality of life 20 years from now? Why should I care if they're all wearing designer respirators? That sounds way too cynical & frankly, I really do care & hope things are better for future Americans. I just have my doubts.
I believe we should take care of our planet, but implementing programs and placing controls that starve farmers (as is the case now in California - save the smelt, starve the citizens), & ruin business and, ultimatelty, our ability to earn a decent living, will certainly bring about a devastating end. Common sense is being ignored. The policies now being argued have nothing to do with the good, or will, of the people. They're designed as control mechanisms. Make the people dependent on Government, thus allowing the Government's intrusion into our lives to become... acceptable. Apathy - it's what politicians from both parties count on heavily as they shove their agendas through, & down our throats.
Disagreement is fine, & a two party system is always better than one. Apathy, however, is unacceptable.
